TODAY i,

Cleaned everything but myself.

I dusted and polished my desk, bureau, and bedposts, I vacuumed, I organized, I made my entire bedroom spotless, immaculate, spiffy, etc., and as geeky as this may sound, I loved every minute of it. I contently listened to music while I cleared away the dust and grime my room had gathered over months of time avoiding a swipe of the dust rag, or the roar of the vacuum. Today was the first day out of my entire vacation that I woke up in the morning. My room was probably the messiest it's been, and it's weird how the 'status' of this space played off of what, and how I did in school, with friends, interacted with family, that sort of thing. The messier it got, the more disorganized I became. And now, with a clean room, smelling of Lemon Pledge and Windex, I think I'm ready to go back to school. In addition to all this cleaning business, I didn't take a shower today.

I also watched a movie that I stumbled upon on tv this morning; The Mermaid Chair. The start of the movie took place underwater, and the silhouttes of mermaids swimming about jumped on and off the screen; this was enough to hold my attention. The plot was a bit overrated, seeing as how Jesse's mother chopped her fingers off, and Jesse(Kim Basinger btw) had this really hot love affair with Brother Thomas, a monk at the monastery where her mother worked. I admit I continued to watch it because I was just waiting for it to get good, and surprisingly it did, so I guess you could say it was worth it. I just wish Jesse stayed with the monk in the end, their relationship was getting so steamy!

My mom told me that she almost named me Jesse, after my great-grandmother.
Uhh, I have a headless cat.
