02/07/09

I went to a Falcon's game tonight.
Mia came with us.
I felt almost claustrophobic
in the seats assigned to us
by our tickets,
being in the top row
at the highest height
next white brick
and surrounded
by so many
raging
enthusiastic
hockey fans.
Mia and I left
my parents and my uncle
for some empty seats
around section three,
which turned out to be awesome
since we were in the section
reserved for 'the enemy'.
I'm not even kidding
about it being awesome.
We had this really entertaining
college kid behind us
who was drunk out of his mind.
He just
didn't
care.
I'm too lazy and wiped
to describe to you
how big of a dick this guy was.
Here were some of his favorite phrases,
I guess:
"C'MON BABY, YEAH BABY,
YOU GOT IT, YEAAAH BABY!"
"YABBA DABBA DOOOO! YEAAAH BABY,
YEAAH!"
"LET'S GO WOLFPACK!"
"FUCKING DEFEND, C'MON!
IF I WERE A DEFENDER, WHICH I AM,
I WOULD DEFINITELY BE DEFENDING RIGHT NOW."
"GET IT IN THERE, C'MON BABE, YEAH!"
"LET'S GO WOLFPACK!"
"FALCON'S SUCK, SPRINGFIELD SUCKS,
SPRINGFIELD FAMILIES SUCK!"
"YEAH BRODY, I LIKE THAT, I LIKE THAT!"
"LET'S GO WOLFPACK!"
"YEAAAH, I LOVE IT! I DEFEND ALLLL DAY!"
(after being talked to about calming down
by two security guards) :
"WHO TOLD ON ME, HUH? WHO TOLD ON ME?"
"WHAT PERSON FROM SPRINGFIELD TOLD ON ME?"

He was a complete and utter scumbum asshole.
I liked him. Mia and I had a lot to laugh about.

Wolfpack won 3-2, if you care.
I really didn't, to be honest with you.
I went up to a black man who worked at the arena
and danced terribly well to every song that played
and asked him if I could hug him.
In response he looked very puzzled
and asked me how he knew me.
Mia told him we probably danced with him before,
and he said,
"OHHH YEAH, I REMEMBER YOU!
Whass yo name again?"
And I said my name and he said,
"Yeeeeah! I remember you now, das right.
So, how are you?"
and I said good and asked
if I could still have that hug
and he shrugged a little
and gave me a nice hug
and then we left.
We've never danced with him before.

I drank soda for the first time in a month,
saw a boy I met at a party once
and a boy who used to tell me to
"Smell it!" when he mooned me
on a regular basis,
and had a swell time.

I went to a liquidation sale
downtown with my dad and
mr. major this morning and bought
a funny looking hat for five bucks.
I also watched the movie
What Dreams May Come
and enjoyed it
more than thoroughly.
YOU HAVE TO SEE IT.

I'm going to go to bed now,
goooodnight.
xx
