THIS i believe:
give me MOMENTS: i hate this
give me MOMENTS: i truely, truely do
give me MOMENTS: each one of these stories
give me MOMENTS: god
give me MOMENTS: its just
give me MOMENTS: it'll start out cool,
give me MOMENTS: stating something, maybe I believe it too,
give me MOMENTS: and as it progresses,
give me MOMENTS: it either gets more relatable and likeable,
give me MOMENTS: or more sappy
give me MOMENTS: but either way, god forbid,
give me MOMENTS: they all. fucking. end. in. god.
give me MOMENTS: just about every one of them, honestly.
give me MOMENTS: and most of them,
give me MOMENTS: particularly the ones,
give me MOMENTS: that I really like at the start,
give me MOMENTS: end with a short paragraph,
give me MOMENTS: explaining how god was their answer to everything,
give me MOMENTS: and believing in him,
give me MOMENTS: saved them.
give me MOMENTS: when,
give me MOMENTS: all throughout their story,
give me MOMENTS: he wasn't mentioned once,
give me MOMENTS: and there wasn't a glimpse you could get out of what they were writing, that they had such a strong belief in god in the first place.
give me MOMENTS: I'm so disappointed.
give me MOMENTS: and angry.
We have to read This I Believe,(a book composed of short stories, essays rather, sent in by people, stating their beliefs in any way they choose) for summer reading.
I think this book, is solely meant for catholic school children to read over the summer. That, or for the religious and gullible. I'm sorry I'm so judgemental about this, I'm only 70 some pages into the book, but from what I've read so far, I'm sticking with my original opinion.
It's so obvious, they picked a book like such, for summer reading.
I go to catholic school.
No wonder.
But give me a book to read, whether enticing or dull, doesn't matter, just give me a different book, anything but this one. I know I go to catholic school, but why try to shove religious beliefs down our throats before school has even fucking started?
