And I have no school.
I woke up at six this morning on my own;
This never happens.
My dad came to wake me ten minutes later.
"Hurry up, let's go," he said.
And I told him I had no school.
And he said,
"No school? Shooit."
He was groggy,
and combined shoot with shit.
And I laughed and went back to sleep.
Come nine ten,
my alarm clock goes off.
Too Little Too Late begins to play.
I lay in bed, waiting for the song to finish.
I watched some Fresh Prince,
finished reading The Catcher in Rye,
and played with Pebbles.
She drooled on page 264.
I opened my parent's mail for the first time,
and flipped when our doorbell rang three times,
followed by loud raps on our back door.
I woke up Ryan,
and saw a boy with a beard and a flannel shirt on,
peaking through the windows on our new front door.
I had a feeling it was Jeremy,
even though I've never really got a good look at him,
let alone met him directly.
Ryan cussed and answered the door,
I bet he still had sleepys in his eyes.
Yep, sleepys.
I think I might really like the name Jeremy.

you see,
there's been a lot of things to pass through my backyard recently.
Cute teenage boys,
stray cats,
the occasional man carrying a cake.
And in the past three days I've seen three different cats back there from my window.
Today, in my pajamas,
I took advantage of the opportunity,
and made a new friend.
I'm still deciding whether this is the cat my dad drove over.
They all look the same.
